How we work

The same sequence runs under every engagement: discover, design, build, deploy, evolve. Here is what each step produces, who owns it, and how you take it over.

Every engagement runs the same five steps: discover, design, build, deploy, evolve. The weight of each one changes with the problem, and some clients join at build because the thinking is already done. What does not change is the order, what each step has to produce before the next begins, and the fact that the system is yours from the first line of it.

From problem to production

Discover establishes the business problem, the users, the economics and the constraints, then ranks the candidate use cases by what they are actually worth. Design turns the chosen one into a target architecture, an AI approach and an interface, with an honest read on what should be bought rather than built. Build is production software, not a prototype dressed as one. Deploy puts the system into your cloud, integrated with the platforms around it and visible to the people who run it. Evolve is the work after launch, when models change, usage grows and new capability becomes worth adding.

How the work stays visible

You see the system as it is built. Working software goes into your environment as it lands, and your engineers sit in the reviews that decide what happens next. The evaluation suite is the part most buyers underestimate: it is where the business writes down what a correct answer looks like, which turns a subjective argument about quality into a test that either passes or fails. Nothing ships past a failing evaluation. If something in the plan turns out to be wrong, you hear it when we find it, not at a closing presentation.

You own what we build

Every contract assigns the work product to the client: code, prompts, documentation, evaluation suites and infrastructure configuration. We keep only our pre-existing tools and general methods, and those are named in the agreement so there is no ambiguity later. Nothing built for you is resold or reused for another client, and nothing is held back to create dependence on us. Ownership on paper is worth little without the means to exercise it, which is why documentation and access sit inside the deliverable rather than beside it.

Security and confidentiality

A mutual NDA comes before we see anything sensitive. During delivery your data stays in your environment wherever the architecture allows: we work inside your cloud accounts and your identity systems rather than copying data out to ours. Threat modeling, access controls and audit trails are engineering scope from the first architecture, not a review bolted on at the end, and we build to the compliance frameworks your sector requires. Your security team is welcome in our reviews at any point, and we would rather they came early than signed off late.

Handover, and what happens after it

Handover is a deliverable in every build. Your team receives the documentation, the runbooks, the evaluation suite and the working sessions needed to operate, extend and defend the system without us. Some clients then keep us close for managed operations: monitoring, model and prompt upkeep verified against the evaluation suite, and a standing roadmap review. Others take it in house and we hear from them when the next problem arrives. Both are good outcomes. The one thing we do not design for is a client who cannot leave.

What each step produces

  • Discover produces a written statement of the business problem, the users, the economics and the constraints, with candidate use cases ranked by what they are worth.
  • Design produces the target architecture, the AI approach, the interface design and a build plan complete enough to execute with us or to take elsewhere.
  • Build produces production software and AI systems, with an evaluation suite that states what a correct answer looks like and a security review running alongside it.
  • Deploy produces the system running in your cloud and integrated with the platforms around it, with access controls, audit trails and monitoring your team can see.
  • Evolve produces the upkeep the system needs as models and usage change: new capability, tuned performance, and evaluations that keep the answers honest.

What this is not

This is not a methodology sold by the phase. We do not put engineers under your management to work a backlog with no system at the end of it, and we do not sell a discovery that ends in a deck another firm has to build from. Steps are entered where the problem actually sits, so if the thinking is already done we start at build. What we will not drop is the evaluation and security work, because that is where enterprise AI usually fails.
