How this site is made

This page records what the site borrows and what it runs on. We ask clients to be able to say exactly what is inside the systems they depend on, and the same standard applies to our own site.

The photography

The photographs on this site were made by other people, apart from the partners' own portraits. Most were released into the public domain under CC0, and the rest are used under a Creative Commons attribution license. The credits below name the photographer, the license and the source for each image. CC0 asks nothing in return, and we credit the work anyway: a firm that asks its clients to account for where their data came from should be able to account for where its pictures came from.

The typefaces

The site is set in Archivo, a variable face that carries everything you read here, with IBM Plex Mono kept for small metadata such as dates, section labels and step numbers. Both are served from this domain rather than from a font network, so reading a page here does not announce you to anybody else.

How the site runs

The pages are built with Astro, rendered ahead of publication and served by a Cloudflare Worker; the contact form and the status page are the only pages produced on request. Analytics are server side, which means a page view is recorded by the server that answered the request rather than by a script in your browser, so the site carries no third-party trackers and no advertising pixels, and a check in the build fails the release if one ever appears. The one third-party script the site loads is Cloudflare Turnstile on the contact page, which confirms that a person rather than a script is filling in the form.
